Vimy Ridge Day 09 Apr 2010      

I have been advised by the Director that this year the ceremony will again be held and we have been requested to attend with a Colour Party. Be advised that limited accommodations will be arranged at the Hotel Campanile in Arras. It is important to let me know in a timely manner if you wish to attend. Names will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. Details TBA.

Annual Liberation Ceremonies in the Netherlands

02-10 May 2010

The program for the Ceremonies and Events are not completed at this time but for planning purposes you can look at the following schedule.

On Sunday 2 May members in the Lahr and Baden area will travel to the Netherlands where limited accommodations have been arranged at the Military Kaserne in Ede . Names will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. The following is an overview of events we have been requested to attend:

02 May - Sunday

On Sunday 2 May members in the Lahr and Baden area will travel to the Netherlands and should arrive at the Military Kaserne in Ede around 1530 hours.

03 May - Monday

·        0730 Breakfast

·        1100 hours attend the Ceremony at the Canadian War Cemetery in Groesbeek

·        Return to Ede .

04 May - Tuesday

·        0730 hours Breakfast

·        1100 hours attend the Ceremony at the Canadian War Cemetery in Holten.

·        1230 hours lunch at branch 005 in Lochem

·        1500 hours unveiling ceremony to the 5th Canadian Armoured Division who liberated that area in Otterlo

·        1900 hours Silent March (Dutch Remembrance) in Otterlo

·        Return to Ede

05 May - Wednesday

·        0730 hours Breakfast

·        1000 hours arrive in Wageningen

·        1500 hours participate in the parade in Wageningen

·        1700 hours return to Ede

06 May - Thursday

·        Breakfast at your leisure

·        1400 hours Zone Meeting at Branch 005 in Lochem

·        1730 Return to Ede

07 May - Friday

·        Breakfast

·        Tatto of Remembrance in Vorthuitzen 25 Euro enterance fee for those members wishing to attend or a Free Day

08 May Saturday

·     As of this date it will be a free day

09 May - Sunday

10 May - Monday

·        Members return home
