65th Anniversary of the Dieppe Raid Ceremony

On 17 August 2007 a group of Legion Members from Zone Europe met at Dieppe to take part in the Ceremonies in and around Dieppe. In general the ceremony was a great success. It was not as hectic as five years ago but considering the age of our Veterans it was plenty and all the major events were covered. Due to lack of communications we missed the march along the promenade on Saturday morning but we were present at all other ceremonies. As usual it was delightful to see a good turn out of Dieppe Veterans. It was also a pleasant surprise to meet and spend some time with our Immediate Past President Mary Ann Burdett who is also a honourary member of Branch 002 in Lahr and Mike Cook representing Dominion Command and our European Zone Representative to Dominion Command.
